MANGAPAI RIDING FARMERS' ASSOCIATION.

SHOW VENUE CHANGED

(Own Correspondent.)

A well-attended meeting of the Mangapai Riding Farmers' Association was held at Mangapai on the L'lst inst. to decide if it were advis•;ble to. hold th e show, which was iixed for February 11 at Mangapai. Home thought that on account of the war it would be advisable to postpone il, for a year. Another difficulty had arisen, as the Public Works Department are working on th e railway link line, which cut_ off! about, half of the level ground in Harrison Park. After full discussion it was decided that, a_ the show ground at Mangapai would in all probability be cut up by the railway works before February, th e show be held on the date fixed at Maungakaramea. All exhibitors and friends are therefore requested to note that this popular show will be held on February 11, 1915. Th e schedule of prizes will be issued at an early date, but it is practically the same as last year. It was also decided to make strong efforts to get adequate compensation from the Government for the loss of the show ground, and with this object it was decided to write to the Premier, the Minister of Public Works, and Mr F. Mander, M.P. A meeting will be held in Maungakaramea on Saturday, 28th, to elect a working committee and to get the show fairly under way
