OSTEND, Sept. 14. The torren.uil rain of Friday must have seriously affected the retreat. The German losses of cavalry were appalling. Many horseless cavalry men are now marching afoot with the infant rv. ANTWERP, Sept. 14. • It is officially stated that the object of the sortie was attained, inasmuch as the Belgians prevented two German army corps from proceeding to Prance, where they were pressingly needed.
