THE IMPEACHED GOVERNOR.

In opening the defence of Sulzer, late Governor of the State, counsel endeavoured to show that the monies it was alleged he wrongfully used "were really given to Sulzer for other purposes than campaign funds, consequently no charge of wrongful conversion existed.
It is expected that Mrs Sulzer will be examined as to the part she played in an alleged stock transaction to which she confessed.
