ACCLIMATISATION SOCIETY.

A meeting of the Council of the Whangarei Acclimatisation Society was held at the secretary's: office on Saturday evening. The secretary asked to be relieved of his position owing to pressure of other work. A vote of thanks to the retiring secretary for his good work was passed.
