WHY WOMEN WANT THE VOTE.
CHICAGO, Oct. 2. Lord Northcliffe angered the suffrage societies in Chicago when he declared that suffrage for women in Britain was impossible, as women, being in the majority, would rule the Empire. Such a position was unthinkable. The suffragists declare that they are not striving to get to the ballot in order to "boss" men, but in ord.;r to "boss" themselves.
