BRITISH LAND POLICY.
MR URE FORECASTS SCHEME.
LONDON. Oct. 2
Mr A. Ure, K.C. (Lord Advocate lor Scotland), speaking at Birmingham, forecasted that the main lines of the land reform scheme would follow the Scottish Land Act. •
It must establish, he said, an independent body between the land owner and the small tenant, while the town tenants, who suffered from land monopoly should be enabled to get a renewal of their tenancy from an independent tribunal. Neutral boards should fix the agricultural labourers' living wage.
