A FARCICAL COMMISSION.

SYDNEY, Oct. 3

The Royal Commission appointed by the Government to enquire into the charges brought by Mr Wade (Leader of the Opposition) against Mr Griffith (Minister for Public Works) has fizzled out.

When the Commission (Mr Justice Pring) sat to-day Mr Wade detailed the , motion of censure against Mr Griffith tabled by him in Parliament and was proceeding to explain further when the Judge interrupted, stating that he could not listen.

Mr Wade then notified that as the Commission under which his Honor sat gave no power to call evidence regarding the Medlow land transaction, he declined to call evidence at all.

Mr Justice Pring replied that he could therefore only report that no evidence had been put before him.
