LONDON MISSIONARY SOCIETY.
SERIOUS SHORTAGE OF FUNDS,
LONDON, Sept- 7.
Owing to a deficiency of £71,483 the London Missionary Society's directors have decided to withdraw some of the society's missionaries and stop furloughs.
To avoid finally adopting such steps a campaign is being opened to raise funds and lay the real situation before the churches.
Many members of the society consider that such, drastic proposals will not be needed.
