NANKING COMPLETELY GUTTED.
PEKIN, Sept. 6
The northern army has completely gutted Nanking, notwithstanding the inhabitants' great sacrifies and bribes to prevent the rebels sacking the city.
With the exception of three Japanese foreigners' lives have been spared and little foreign property has been sacked.
