The Auckland Farmers' Union, Ltd., report:—At Kamo on the 2nd' inst. we had a splendid yarding of cattle, fully 1300 head being penned. Buyers were in attendance from Te Puke, Cambridge, Auckland, and the Northern districts, and competition was keen throughout, so "that with few exceptions the offering changed owners. B eef.—We had above the average number, and they* were wanted, prices , being .rather better than those ruling last month. Steers £8 10/ to £14, 15s (fully 35/ per lOOlbs), cows £o to £9 15/ (27/ to 32/6 per lOOlbs), grown steers £7 10/ to £8 7/6, 3-year ■steers £6 5/ to £7, 2 and .2%-year steers £5 5/ to £6, 12 to 18-months steers £3 10/ to £4 12/6, steer calves £2 to £2 15/, good framed empty cows £4 5/ to £4 15/, old cows (low in condition) £2 15/ to £3 »/, 3-year heifers £3 15/ to £4 10/, 2vear heifers £3 to £3 15/, 1-year heifers £2 10/ to £3, calves £1 10/ to £2Dairy Stock.— Anything young and showing quality sold well, others were only wanted at graziers , prices. At Whangarei on the 3rd we had another big yarding of cattle (900 head), and have to report a good sale, the prices obtaining at Kamo the previous day being fully sustained.
