ACRIMONIOUS POLITICIANS.

MR LLOYD GEORGE AND HIS

ACCUSERS

LONDON, Sept 4 5

There is an angry controversy going on between Mr Lloyd George and Lord Wolmer.

Mr George accuses Lord Wolmer of misrepresenting fapts in regard to the Marconi purchases and of being guilty of mean falsehoods. In his calculated lies Lord Wolmer (says Mr George) is not particular as to the consequences, but, like other calumniators, evolves mischievous inferences from innocent facts.

Lord Wolmer and his family, Mr George declares, had been peculiarly offensive in negotiating huge contracts with the Government when they were in office. In common decency he should repudiate such transactions if he wanted to take a high line respecting a Minister's investments. "Lord Wolmer and his fellow Cecils should begin to take lessons at home," and he could furnish them with instances for instruction.
