The "Times," in a special article Assisting on the failure o3 Trades Unionism, says that between 1912 an* 1906, 11,000,000 working days were lost owing to strikes in Great Britain and in 1912, 40,000,000, while the working conditions have become harsher and harder. "The workers are not only being 'speeded-up' by their employers, but they'are also socially screwed dowa by the new governing classes. With Trades Unionism pure and simple the workers went ahead; with political Trades Unionism they are now goii>« backwards."
