DENOMINATIONAL DISTINCTIONS.
The members of the Australasian Congregational Assembly in Adelaide were entertained by the Chairman with some of his experiences in China, and were particularly amused at the Celestials' descriptions of the various communions they had got to know. "The Baptists," they declared, '"were muchee-washee Christians; the Anglicans were little-washee Christians; the Methodists the shakee-hands-at-the-door Christians; the Presbyterians the no-shakee-hands-at-the-door Christians; and the Congregationalists the don't-care-for-the-other-man Christians."
