ELECTION DISORDERS.
RIOTOUS AFFRAYS IN BELGIUM,
DESPERATE CONFLICTS,
CATHOLIC MAJORITY SECURED,
(Received June 5, 8.32 ,a.m.) , BRUSSELS, June 4. The .'elections resulted in a Catholic majority of sixteen over the combined Liberals and Socialists. There were many disturbances. The windows' of the Catholic Clubs were wrecked. - Demonstrators at Ghent smashed the windows of the Nobles' Club and fired revolver shots. Three Socialists at Liege were killed and fifteen wounded during a gendarmes' raid -of the Socialists' headquarters. Elsewhere the Socialists derailed trams. Troops occupied Liege, and a large number of demonstrators, police, and civic guards were injured. There were numerous arrests. Crowds at Brussels threatened the Catholics' establishments. The gendarmes repeatedly charged, and made many arrests. ■ ; ' - '
