MIXED MARRIAGES.
ROMAN CATHOLICS AND OTHERS.
EISHOP JULIUS CONCERNED.
CHRISTCHURCH, Feb. 15
Preaching \o the Mothers' Union in the Cathedral, Bishop Julius dealt with family life and the duties of mothers. He said that the Roman Catholic Church wisely declared marriage between members of its own communion and members of another communion really null and void.
He did not agree with tiie methods adopted, but added: "Personalty. I would do everything I couid to stop raixed marriages. I set my face against mixed marriages because I know how dietructive they are of family unity and family religion. I have known many oases of grievous harm being 'lone by such marriages. If a Roman Catholic marries one of a Protestant's daughters he is either unfaithful to his Church or has no real religion, and in his heart regards that woman as not truly his wife."
Bishop Julius also warned them, against Socialism's attack on family life and marriage.
