The press is favorable to the Government's Bill for legalising gambling, opening luxurious casinos in the chief towns, and granting licenses to the highest bidders.
A British syndicate, with a capital of one million pounds, has offered! to build casinos in Lisbon and Cintra similar to that at Monte Carlo.
