WEBB-PEARCE SCULLING RACE.
BOTH MEN CONFIDENT,
WANGANUI, Dec. 19. The final deposits of £100 each have been received'by the stakeholder from the backers of Webb and Pearce for the sculling race of £200 a-side %m Monday next. The race will be rowed at dead low water. Pearce is credited with doing two good trials over two miles. Webb pleased his backers on Saturday when he did a three-mile spin. Both men are fit and confident.
