WELLINGTON, Sept. 21
The Local Bills Committee—afte' hearing Messrs Minchin and Kernohan in favor of, and Messrs Nelson, Stone, Weaver, McKer zie, and Steadman against a Bill introduced by Mr Mander for the Whangarei County Council to repeal the Whangarei Abattoir Site Act—has reported that the Bill was strongly opposed, and recommended that the Hou'ie does not proceed to consider the Bill. The recommendation ot the Local Bills Committee will be adopted, which means that the Kioreroa Cemetery re serve on the Otaika road will be gazetted as the approved site for the municipal abattoir of Whangarei.
