• Press Association. Hokitika, September 21. 'A<j the Supreme Court to-day, Mr {Justice Edwards presiding, R. Raymond, alias Lawson, for attempted rape on a married woman at Westport, was sentenced to ten years' bard labour and tbree floggings, each of 20 lashes. P. Cameron, a new arrival in the Colony, ion forgery, was sentenced to nine months. iW. Harvey, fun., for stealing amalgam at Keefton, was sentenced, to two years.
