WOOL SALES.

The wool offered on Wednesday was in larger quantity than 1 has hitherto occurred on a first sale. There was a full attendance of buyers, prices were firm, and on comparison with prices obtained for the same class last season, an advance of about id per lb. was obtained. Prices for longwool ranged from GJd to 7£, crossbred 6d. to 7sd per lb. Messrs Hunter and Nolan held first wool sale of the season, at Durham yards yesterday. There was a full attendance of buyers. Some interest was felt as to whether recent London advices would affect prices ; but there really £was no perceptible effect. Prices were about same as those obtained at the Haymarket sale the previous day.
