Auckland, Friday. MR. AXPBED BtrCKLAND'a HEPOHT. During the past week hay and straw realized Jate values; from 1/3 to 2/ per cwt ; chaff 40/ to 50/. At the horse sale on Friday, horses were yarded in full numbers, and sold steadily throughout the auction, better enquiry being made for farm and spring cart horses. Prices for these ranged from £6 to £10 10/. At Eemuera on Thursday, dairy cattle were dull of sale. A few stores were yarded, and sold at higher values. Moderately bred steers, from two to three years old, £2 16/ each, dry cows

£2 to £2 14/. Fat cattle in full supply, and realized last week's prices, steers 15/ to 17/ per lOOlbs. The steers from Waitara ranged from 11 10/ to £6 2/6 ; from Waikato, £4 to £6 10. Sheep in moderate numbers, obtained no improved values, wethers ranged from 12/ to 15/9 ; hoggets 8/9 ; lambs 10/ to 14/ each. Pigs and calves sold satisfactorily. PRODUCE MARKET. In the local produce market butter is very plentiful, and a fall in prices is looked for at an early date. Best dairy butter remains as last week, 1/ per lb wholesale, 1/3 retail. Eggs remain 6d per doz. wholesale, 8d retail. i KAURI GUM MARKET. Kauri gum market steady. Supplies for 29 days of August about 625 tons. We quote, fair ordinary 28/ to 29/, best ordinary 30/.
