LEMON CULTURE.
It appears that the New Zealand market is not to be easily supplied with lemons. Some time since we published a letter from the South, stating that the writer was open to receive both lemons and oranges in large quantities, and now we have a letter from an Auckland chemist, enquirins: for consignments in lots of 1000 dozen for manufacturing purposes. The price is not mentioned, but in such quantities a considerable discount would probably be expected. We know of one extensive producer of iemons who is not able to supj)ly half the demands on him.
