KAMO.
On Tuesday, at noon, the first meeting of the Kamo Licensing Committee was held in the Town HalL There were present : — Messrs F. F.' Day, N. Mclnnis, and J. Jackson.
MrW. A. Smith, the Clerk, having read the notice calling the meeting, and certain portions of the Licensing Act, pointing ont the routine business to be transacted, called on those present to elect one of their number as Chairman (or the ensuing year. £'Mr Jackson moved " That Mr Day be tSisdrman of the Committee." He said he made this proposition with a good deal of pleasure. Mr Mclnnis seconded themotion, which was carried unanimously.
Mr Day thanked the gentlemen present for the honour they had done him, and said that he would endeavour, as he had done in connection with other bodies with which he had been long connected, to do his duty, and merit the approval of the Committee.
