Supplies forf 29 days of June about 630 tons. We quote fair ordinary 46/, superior ordinary 47/, with upward tendency, East Coast 58/ to 60/. The Auckland Grocer's Association quotes wholesale price, fresh butter /10 per lb., and fresh eggs 1/6 per dozen. Frozen Meat Company quote shell brand butter 1/ per lb., wholesale only. Maize worth 3/ to 3/2, bats firmer at from 2/3 to 3/4, milling wheat 4/ to 4/3, and potatoes £3 to £3 5/. G. W. Binney sold by auction yesterday 190 cases of Hobart apples. Prices realised, French crabs 7/ to 9/ a case, stone pippings 8/ to 9/, stunner pippings 6/9, crow's eggs 4/6, scarlet permins 6/ and russets 5/9 a case. FLOUR. Wholesale roller flour per ton £12 15/, superfine £12, household £11. MR. ALFRED BTJ(__l_-Nl>'s REPORT. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle numerous but at lower prices and unless good quality of no better value than ordinary store cattle, store cattle in steady demand at late values, fat cattle in usual number, but generally heavier weight than usual, and. at lower values. Moderate and light weights sold relatively at higher prices which ranged from 15/ to 18/ per 100 lbs. Sheep in full numbers and at last week's values, pigs required and sold satisfactorily. Crown Lands Board yesterday granted the application for homestead lands of Mary McCorquindale for 250 acres at Opuawhanga, and William Redshaw 285 acres same district/ It was decided to offer for sale section 12, block 8, Opuawhanga, at upset price of lU/6 per acre. Tauranga, Thursday. At inquest on the illegitamite infant of Rebecca Goodin, the jury returned a verdict "that child died from neglect at birth," and added a rider censuring an attendant. . A man named John Webb died in jabl to-night, he had beon arrested on a charge of larceny. Blenhiem, Thursday. It is feared that Dr. Home, one of the oldest settlers in- the district has perished in the fire at the Criterion Hotel. He is known to have slept there, and nothing can be heard of him to-day. The ruins have been searched, but no body has yet beon found. Dr. Home was called when the fire broke out and he got up, but all hope of his being alive is lost.
