From Mark Briggs

The Editor, Sir,— With your kind permission I would like to offer my heartiest congratulations to each and every one of those members who have been successful on behalf of the New Zealand Labour Party at the last General Election/ and I would like t 0 specially thianlc those nine members, who have been, returned again .to fight the battles oa behalf of the .working class of th' 3 country, for the splend'd work faey did in their last term of office in supplying us with ammunition to fight this election with. I for one realise that a great deal of itlxo success that we have met with at the elections is the result of the good work of our nine members ia. the House of Representatives and out of it during the last three years. Our Parliamentary -Party is now double Its strength in the last Parliament, and I and the other 140,000 ■electors who elected them, will look to them, to supply us with double ammunit'ba for the next election. So up, friends, and be doing! All eyes will 'be oh you." Let us (the rank and file) show an example of ;a united front to the enemy. Give of yoxir best in tHe cause of humanity and I feel sur« that when you offer your services w the country again we w,ill not only return you, but will add to your numbers sufficiently as to enable you to make this fair land of ours worth, living in. I also want to thank those candidates who were not successful. They also hava rendered good service to lb<s w Labour movement and I feel sure that the seed that they have sown will bear fruit and that they; In turn will, w.ith perseverance, soon gain their objective. And now, Mr. Editor, I would like to thank you and your stiaff for the splendid services you have rendered in making bur Official Paper, TMe Maoriland Worker, what it is to-day and also for the way have supplied the different electorates so promptly with literature with which, to fight the campaign. I conclude wiith my hand extended to all thoe* who have fought the good fight on behalf of the working class .of thlt oouatry. -Stick to the right «nd ir« must wini —Yours for emancipation, iVi&RK BRIGGS.
