HEAVY SHOCK
WAIROA RESIDENTS RUSH TO STREET. Wairoa, March 16. At 10.47 las night Wairoa district was subjected to a heavy shock of earthquake, causing many to rush into the streets in their night attire, but no ctructural damage is reported, which demonstrates how the town has benefited from past experiences and erected buildings capable ox withstanding a shock as severe as last nght, which is placed by the authorities at scale 5 on the Rossi Forel recorder. ~
