No Easing of Meat Position in Canada
OTTAWA, Nov* 25. Canada intends to continue' meat rationing despite the United States abandomneant of it, stated the Prime Minister (Mr. Mackenzie King), who said to-day that although the United States exported a large tonnage it was unlikely to he more than live per cent, of the total, whereas the Canadian meat export programme demanded the export of nearly one-third of her total supplies. The world food situation was more urgent and more desperate than ever. Canada intended to continue meat rationing imtil she felt justified in adopting other measures.
