Boxing
Boxing fans of the Manawatu will be treated with a good fight in the Opera House on Monday night when Joe Collins, of Palmerston North, -will step into the ring fitter than ever to exchange punches with that two-fisted fighter of Auckland, Jack Duncan, M.M. Duncan has wins over Ernie Underwood, Ken Wright and Billy Little, has lost a disputed decision to Tommy Hansen, lost to Vie Caltaux after a hectic eight rounds, and lost to Bos Murphy when the referee stopped the fight five seconds beforo the finish of the first round. Jack lost only one fight in the Pacific, where he received the M.M. Jack Duncan is trained to the second and is anxious to prove he is too good for our local lad. 'Locky McDonald knows all the answers in the ring and has Jack well schooled. Collins is fit and Bert O’Keefe says Joe will be there full of fight and will trade punch for punch with Duncan. These two boys are fighters and there will not be a dull moment in the 10 rounds. Box plans are open now at Collinson and Cunninghame’s.
1 MAN LOOKS THROUGH WINDOW Nothing sinister about thatl He was merely admiring the fine effects of BONIGLO LIQUID, the window and glass cleaning fluid with the spirit base. It cleans and shines in a second. Wise women save work with BONIGLO 'FLUID. All grocers.
