France Opposes Trade Unions in Germany

Received Sunday, 9.50 p.m. BERLIN, Nov. 10. The Allied Control Commission was unable to agree on a law governing the formation of trade unions in Germany. Reuter’s correspondent says this failure was due to French opposition to trade union organisation covering all Germany. The Associated Press’ correspondent says the French delegate announced that his Government took the same stand on this issue as on that of a central Government for Germany—that it was premature, perhaps dangerous, to permit the Germans to have central organisations.
