R.S.A. Women’s Section
The women’s section of the Feilding R.S.A. held its annual meeting this week when the report mentioned a successful and busy year throughout which the section worked in close association with the R.S.A.
The election of officers resulted: President, Mrs. A. C. McCorkindale; vicepresidents, Mesdames T. Donaldson and C. V. Jewell; committee (country members), Mesdames Brandt, P. Simpson, B. McLeod, R. McLennan, W. G« Booth; town members, Mesdames McGregor, Cleland, C. H. Tate, Moore, M. Barltrop, Murray, Sauer, Fawcett, Dowrick, Burne, Carmine, L. Carthew, Miss Matthews; treasurer, Mrs. S. Sauer; secretary, Mrs. M. Barltrop (subject to her consent). The retiring treasurer and secretary, Mesdames N. M. Ingram and R. M. Goldfinch, who did not seek re-election, were presented with lovely sprays, also the president. A vote of thanks to Mrs. Dowrick for doing all the floral decorations during the year was carried by hearty acclamation. A motion to grant £5 each to the secretary and treasurer, this to be effective Ztrr last year, was carried unanimously, but both Mrs. Goldfinch and Mrs. Ingram donated the amount back to the funds.
