Young Mothers’ Club
At the first annual meeting of the Young Mothers’ Club, Mrs. T. Tuohy presided over an attendance exceeding 20. Mrs. Tuohy reviewed the first year’s operations and thanked all members for their loyal co-operation and assistance during the past year. The following officers were elected:— Patroness, Airs. G. F. O’Rourke; president, Mrs. A. Donald; executive committee, Mesdames T. Tuohy, W. A. Carthew, H. Gardner, S. G. Hogg* A* Gowler, K. Taylor, L. G. Hartlev, (J. P.* Davies, S. Todd and I. Daysh. The secretary and treasurer will be elected by tho executive at the next meeting. Final arrangements were made in connection with the annual shop day which would be held on November 13 with the Borough Council’s consent in a marquee erected in the Flagpole square.
