Townswomen’s Guild Circles Entertain
Members of the drama and music circles of the Palmerston North Townswomen’s Guild combined in a very pleasant social afternoon recently there being a good attendance to enjoy the programme happily arranged. Contributing to the musical portion of the programme which Mrs. Hunt was convener were Mrs. Mclntyre and Miss Cranstone with vocal solos accompanied by Mrs. F. Inkpen, also Mesdamcs W. Bigharn and Sadd iu vocal duets, Mrs. Bigharn at the piano. Mesdames Humphreys, Garrick, Christensen and R. Holmes presented a most amusing mime directed by Mrs. Humphreys and a playreading provided further enjoyment, the readers being Mesdames Holmes, Eaglesome, Toon, Sadd and Shipton with Mrs. E. L. Christian, the convener as producer. Afternoon tea made a pleasing break in proceedings and Mrs. Christian thanked the performers and hostesses.,
