French Take Control of District in Berlin
Received Wednesday 12.20 a.m. LONDON, August 13.
The Union Jack was lowered and a French tricolour raised in the Wellingplatz in a ceremonial transfer of the French district in Berlin from the British to the French, says Reuter’s Berlin correspondent. The ceremony was carried out by British and French troops.
