“Will Fight Sacred War to Bitter End”
Received Sunday, 10.10 p.m. LONDON, August 12, The Japanese-controlled Singapore radio in the early hours of today was still broadcasting a proclamation from the Japanese War Minister (General Anami) affirming “the grim determination of the Imperial Army to fight the sacred war to the bitter end, ’ ’ says Reuter’s. The radio did not mention the surrender terms.
