Home Servicemen Hold Annual Meeting

The first annual meeting of the Manawatu branch of the New Zealand Home Servicemen's Association was held last night, Mr. A. F. Budd presiding. The review of the year given by the president, disclosed a sound financial position. Three sub-branches had been established at Foxton, Pahiatua and Woodville. The branch membership was 132 which placed it as the sixth largest branch in New Zealand. Assistance in various ways had been extended to a number of members. Mr. Budd was reelected president and ; Mr. J. H. Millar vice-president. The committee consists of Messrs. A. Haines, R. C. Bailoy, C. R. J. Port, L. W. Ayres, J. Jones, R. P. Kelly, R. W. Price with the president and vicepresident. Mr. W. H. Horsfall was reelected auditor. The provision of club rooms is being taken up as a major matter by the committee as also is the setting up of ,a hospital visiting committee to care for members during illness.
