Tiddim Road Clear For 100 Miles
Received Monday, 11 p.m. LONDON, Sept. 4.
“The Tiddim Road is now clear for 100 miles south of Imphal, states a Southeast Asia communique. “The enemy rearguards are offering only limited resistance to our advance. On the Chindwin front our advance towards Sittaung continues. In North Burma British patrols along the Mogaung-Mandalay railway have pushed further in the direction of Hopis.
