Another Mass Murder Of Hostages Revealed

(Briti.h Official Wireless.) Received Friday, 8.20 p.m. RUGBY, Aug. 11. Nari Germany was officially accused to-day of the murder of more than 320 Italian hostages near Rome last March, states a correspondent In Borne. The official Italian Investigation Commission headed by Prince M. Dorian, Mayor of Borne, presented a detailed report of shootings and recommended that the full facts he referred to the Allied War Crimes Commission so that the guilty may be brought to justice. The Commission reported that a common grave at the Ardeatine caves contains more than 320 bodies. The Germans admitted shooting this number as a reprisal for the killing of 32 Germans by bombs which exploded In the Via Basella on March 23. After the explosion the Germans announced that they would kill ten persons for every German victim and the following afternoon 320 were taken from Borne to the Ardeatine caves and shot one by one with large calibre revolvers. S.S. Colonel Dollman is believed to have been in charge of the preparation of the lists of hostages.
