Of Local Interest
Recently the Mangatainoka Red Cross unit resolved to disband and the material in the unit’s possession was auctioned. The proceeds of the sale, together with cash in hand, have been handed by Mrs. Brooks to the Pahiatua Red Cross sub-centre which benefits to the tune of £56 10s 6d. Mesdames Pryde and Davenport, of Ruawhata, from the sale of papier maehe work donated the sum of £G to the Red Cross Society.
