Another Two-way Assault on Germany
Pounding of Enemy Targets Continues (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—-Copyright.) Received Wednesday, 12.20 a.m. LONDON, May 30. R.A.F. Mosquito bombers last night attacked Hanover and objectives in Western Germany and the coast of France, says an Air Ministry communique. Enemy waters were also mined. None of our bombers is missing. The German News Agency reports that battles are going on to-day over Germany between German fighters and American bombers escorted by fighters. Enemy raiders bombed a Southwest coastal town early this morning. Raiders wefe also over the Southeast coast. One raider was destroyed. It is officially stated that the Mediterranean Coastal Air Force since last March has been using rocket projectiles. Hurricanes yesterday carried out several rocket attacks.
Three large formations of Allied planes went out over the Straits ox Dover this morning to continue the pounding of German targets. Reuter’s reports that the German air raid warning service announced violent air battles over the Northwestern and Southeastern areas of Germany, indicating another Allied two-way xttack from England and Italy.
