A COMPREHENSIVE SCHEDULE

The Marton District A. and P. Association will hold its annual show on the Alartou Racecourse on Wednesday, January 20, to be followed by the Alartou Ram Fair on Thursday, January 27. A very comprehensive schedule has been compiled which includes classes for ponies, saddle horses, pony and hunters’ jumping competitions and boy and girl’riders. Tho cattle section

comprises classes for Jersey, Friesians, Herefords and best male or female of any breed. In the sheep section there arc classes for Romney Marsh flock rams and natural condition, open Southdowns and natural condition, fat, gift and pet lambs. Berkshires, Tamworths and porkers and baconers in the pig sections and sheep dogs.

Thcro are also classes for farm and garden produce, sewing, wool and art needlework and home industries.

Entries close on Friday, January 14, and schedules may be obtained on application to the show secretary, P.O. Box 3, Marton. A number of side-shows, hooplas, merry-go-rounds and charoplane have booked space for the show. In the evening a programme of Scottish dances will be open for competition for different ages of dancers.
