Mr. Holland’s Big Meeting At Invercargill

INVERCARGILL, Sept. 16.

The policy of the National Party was expounded by tho loader of the party (Air. S. G. Holland) to a large audience at the Civic Theatre to-night. Every seat in the theatre was occupied and there was an overflow meeting in the Victoria concert chamber. The attendance v.as estimated at about 1200. It included a fairly large number of people from the country. When Mr. Holland rose to speak the audience rose and sang: “For He’s a Jolly Good Fellow.” There were a few interjections during the earlier part of the speech. A vote of thanks and confidence was carried with acclamation.
