Ladies’ Guild Meeting

The September meeting of the St. Paul's Ladies’ Guild was held iu the vestry on Thursday, September 9, 1943. In the absence of Mrs. Combes, Mrs. Carrad occupied the chair. The meeting opened with Scripture reading, also singing “O God Our Help in Ages Past,” followed by a prayer of thanksgiving. Apologies were received from Mesdames Combes, Gray, Eraser, Kankin and Jackson. A welcome was extended to two visitors. Our annual tea is to be held on October 13, commencing ul 6 p.m., the catering to be iu the callable hands of Mrs. East. Quarterly payments were passed for payment and the general business dealt with. Dur ing the month we farewelled with regret one of our energetic members, Mrs. Ancell, who has left to take up residence at Trelithaui. The presentation took tlie form of a wall mirror given her by the church. Afternoon tea w-as served by the hostesses, Mesduines McCardle and Grantham. The meeting closed, Mrs. Carrad pronouncing the Benediction.
