At last evening’s meeting of the Feilding Borough Council, the Mayor (Mr. T. L. Seddon) in referring to the great news respecting the capitulation of Italy, suggested that the occasion might well be marked by thanksgiving for the victory accorded the United Nations. It appealed to him that citizens might attend their respective churches on Sunday for this purpose and with this idea, the Council agreed. Councillors will attend the service at SL Raul’s Presbyterian Church.
