Feilding Fire Board

The quarterly meeting of the Feilding Fire Board was held yesterday afternoon when members expressed satisfaction over the news regarding Italy’s fate. Mr. V. M. Edgar presided and there were also present Messrs L. A. Hutton, A. C. McCorkinclale, O. C. Sporle (superintendent) and C. H. Tate (secretary). The Board considered plans for the proposed residence of the superintendent and these were approved and steps are now to be taken to obtain the approval of the Local Bodies Loan Board for the raising of a loan to finance the building of the strucTlie superintendent’s report stated that the brigade answered four calls during the quarter, three chimney fires and one to a motor car which had caught fire. All outbreaks were suppressed with little if any damage and no fire loss was reported. The strength of the brigade is two officers and 19 firemen and the plant was j reported as being in good order.
