(From Our Own Correspondent.) A euchre party was held recently to aid the hall funds. The winners were 1 Miss J. Rosser and Mr. A. Marshall ana Miss B. Maefarlane and Mr. L. Wilson. Miss I. Christian and Mr. B. McKinnon played for a dance following the cards. Mrs. E. Rosser has returned home after staying with her daughter, Mrs. A. Kitchen, Feilding. Mrs. D, Mingins, who lias been staying with her mother, Mrs. Parsons, lias returned to New Plymouth. Mr. C. Rosser, Hastings, has been staying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Rosser. Mrs. K. Anderson and her two children have returned home from Tangimoana where they were the guests of the former’s aunt, Miss A. Craine. Members of the Sewing Guild met at the hall last Wednesday afternoon and packed eight parcels to send to our local boys overseas. The following are spending the school vacation with their respective parents:— Irene and Lyra Christian and Joy Craine, , Solw r ay College; Joan Short, Queen Margaret’s College; Betty Maefarlane, New Plymouth Girls’ High School; Noellno James, Wanganui Girls’ College; Prudence Winder, St. Mary’s College, Stratford; and John Luxford ami Kevin James, New Plymouth Boys’ High School.
