National Day of Prayer
(To the Editor.) Sir,—The National Day of Prayer fixed for Friday next will be observed in Feilding in accordance with an advertisement appearing in this issue. As we enter the fifth year of war we are commanded by his Majesty the King to come together on this appointed Day oi Prayer to thank Almighty God for His goodness to us and to ask His grace and guidance in the days that lie ahead. I, therefore, earnestly invite all citizens to attend as many of the services as possible and request employers to close their premises between 12 noon and 1.30 p.m. to allow all employees to attend the public service.—l am, etc., T. L. SEDDON, Mayor.
