Red Carpet for Mrs Roosevelt
Received Monday, 9.10 p.m. CANBERRA, Aug. 30. To welcome Mrs. Roosevelt at Australia’s Federal Parliament House, the red carpet used for State occasions will be brought out for the first time since the beginning of the war. The pictures removed for safe keeping after Japan entered the war will be rehung and a special staff has teen engaged on polishing more than 10,000 pieces oi table silver for the State dinner. Ministers will wear dinner jackets lor a formal occasion for the first time in the Curtin Government’s 22 months ot office.
