Waltzing Championship
A prize of £1 is offered by the Pahiatua Patriotic Entertainers to the winners of the district waltzing championship to be decided at a grand patriotic dance to be held in the Drill Hall on Thursday next, September 2. In addition to the championship attraction, the dance itself promises to eom-e up to the usual high Entertainers ’ standard. Good supper, good music and the usual convivial tone of these functions give promise of a first-class evening for all. And the cause is a most worthy’ one, the proceeds being earmarked for swelling the Patriotic Bociety'a recruits’ presentation fund. In a return game between the Boy Scouts of Pahiatua and Mangairaire Konini for the Jensen Cup, the town pack were successful. The winners will meet tho Kketahurm Bcouls at Rugby I’nrk next Saturday.
