Spiritual Healing is Calvary

LOVE IN ACTION TO-DAY A powerful message was delivered by Airs. E. Dowsett, founder of tho House of Prayer, Auckland, in tho Salvation Army Citadel, Broadway, on Sunday. The speaker stressed the need for the restoration of the full message of Calvary and its purifying, healing power to meet the needs of tho whole man and the whole world. To-day we lived in a war-torn, disease-laden, sinstricken, suffering world as a result — a result of centuries of misrepresentation of the message of the Cross of Christ—a mutilated Gospel had produced chaos. Youth had to face a mass of evil—immorality, crime and shame — difficulties which were insurmountable unless given the pure message of the gospel of eternal life. {Spiritual healing was an outpouring of the love of God through Christ on the Cross; it was no new message. The sinner cried 11 What must I do to be saved?” Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. The sufferer cried “What shall I do to be healed?” The same answer meets tho need—Believe cn the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt bo healed. When Christians got down on their knees and faced up to the challenge of Christ—“ Pray Ye”— little children and our splendid youth would have an opportunity to find life in its true, noble meaning, and the charm of man and womanhood shall once again be restored—a great, royal prayer force of Calvary. Love was the only means by which New Zealand could be delivered from bondage. For the sake of the little ones, go back to Calvary—Prayl Pray! Pray!
