Big British Fleet Sails From the Rock
Luftwaffe Leaders Gathering in Italy

It is reported from La Linea that all the warships at Gibraltar including four battleships, two aircraftcarriers, two cruisers and eight destroyers have sailed from the Rock. There are at present 41 merchantmen and six hospital ships at Gibraltar. Reports received in Stockholm from Berlin state that von Richthofen’s air squadrons have been transferred from Russia to Italy. Richthofen, who is a cousin of the last war ace, commanded’ a corps which took part in the Battle of Britain and also fought in Spain. Russia and the Balkans. General Adolf Galland, InspectorGeneral of the Luftwaffe fighter forces, has arrived at Marshal Kesselring’s headquarters in Southern Italy.
